Morton's Incredible size steaks!

Tuesday night I went for a friends birthday at Morton's Steak House in Marina Mandarin Hotel and honestly, I didn't know Steaks came in that size. I had no idea you could get $100 steaks, but in truth, it was true American size steaks!!! HUUUGEEEeee....

A Double-cut Filet Mignon was about 5" by 3" and 3" in height..HUGE!!!!!! I knew they were famous for their happy hour Martini's which by the way are strong as hell!!!
Was an amazing dinner and even randomly bumped in to Sheik Haikal and Annabel but then again Singapore is small. Chances are I will be back there for the amazing size Beef steaks, if you get the chance go there at least ONCE!

Its atmosphere is much of an American bar filled with wallstreet business men or traders. I wouldn't exactly say it's a family restaurant either! It is quite noisy and busy and cramped with ables pulled out for you to sit in !

Wednesday & Thursday
I carried on filming with Nokia's 14 days Nseries and shot at night from 5.30pm -2.30am and it's all about the N82's navigation map function and having supper at night with your friends! I have one more filming tomorrow night to finish up that episode and in the mean time the 2nd part to the last episode will be out soon!!!

As easy as climbing a mountain!

I'm not sure if any of you get this, but sometimes when you LOOK young you tend to feel immune to getting older! Well I've looked the same from about the age of 18 when i was breaking it down at Youth park EVERY single day after college, getting my face down on the dirty floor for HOURS and sometimes hitting the skate park at the same time.
Well today I didn't have as much energy as I did running on 2 pieces of toast the whole day.
First up at 2.30pm I went back to my old Secondary school Cedar Girls School and started the Dance Club's first Breakdancing Basics. Teaching for 2 hours is no joke to a big class of 38 girls.I taught them the basics of Toprock, 6-step, shuffling, footwork and the most basic of freezes, the Baby Freeze. The management thought it was a good idea to have an old girl teach them. They were alot more quieter then back in our days! Some were just born when I first came Singapore..Argh...!!!!!

I ended up splitting the class in 2 meaning I had to repeat all my moves 2 times on top of the personal help i gave each individual. Cedar is under renovation now so they have moved to temporary grounds in Geylang Bahru which was a NIGHTMARE to find! I must have rode around in circles for 15 minutes!

Anyway after leaving 15 minutes later at 4.45pm I made my way to Taka's Pure Yoga and did the Hot Yoga session at 5.30pm till 6.30pm, in a room which is heated to 38 degrees. But i think it was a TAD bit hot and I felt dizzy. the last 5 minutes, I lay there and then couldn't take it anymore and asked Katie the instructor if I could leave and she said i had to stick it out. In which she turned off the heating.

I wonder if she thought I was being 'Kiasu' and making a dash to the toilets first so I would miss the crowd. Just a thought if she understood that I was feeling dizzy! Hmmm. I tend to over heat quite easily as well and its very obvious when I'm struggling becuase my face goes red like tomato when everyone else looks peaceful and I get a headache!
I'm pretty sure those are good enough signs!!!

So, no more 2 intense lesson and classes one after another...and to EAT a snack bar for energy in between......

Anyway made it home and had a nice big bowl of Chunky soup for dinner!!!
Anyone up to anything interesting over the weekend???
Football predictions? I hear Germany is gonna win!?!
and as for Singapore their battle to get in to the World cup for football has ended this year!

Ohoh, I will write up on the new AMAZING 3D TV's and the movies I went to see recently that include, The Incredible Hulk and Get Smart!

Adios Amigos!
Tonight I will be going to see "DOn't Mess with the Zohan"
How can you not love Adam Sandler hehehehe.. Peace out

Race Date: 22 Jun 2008
Number of Laps: 70
Circuit Length: 4.411 km
Race Distance: 308.586 km
Lap Record: 1:15.377 - M Schumacher (2004)

Its race weekend in France once again and once again, Hamilton seems down in luck.Though he qualified in 3rd position, he had to serve out a 10 place penalty because of his pit mishap in Montreal, pushing to 13th in grid positions. 1/4 through todays race and he was served with ANOTHER penalty after he went off track and came back on overtaking another driver, which is not allowed, but he really had no choice. He's now in 18th with team India behind him as last driver. Argh...Raikkonen is FAR far far far ahead.

Alonso, still one of my favourites, might be going to Ferrari next year. That's the rumour! Renault's car is absolute shit, which is not a secret, but can you imagine Alonso with Ferrari? I think its kind of a misfit for imaging. But if he was, without doubt, he'd be in the pole positions. With out any doubt, Alonso, is one of the best drivers out there of these times with Double championships under his belt. With a better car coupled with his skill it would be very interesting!!!!

Anyway back to the French track, amazing race, with very tight corners and turns, making very little margin for any error, if not none at all. Definitely a track that is hard for drivers to overtake one another. To other fans out there, enjoy the rest of today's race!!!

All this reminiscing, brought me to CARTOONS.

Who you gonna Call?!?!??!

Was watching HBO just now and our old favourites Ghost Busters II was on.
Isn't it a wonder back in the late 80's and early 90's
how as kids we'd be so amused by these older movies,
where technology wasn't as good, high speed and impact car chases were simple,
with a ramp and a car flipping. Now it's all about the green screen
and pyrotechnics and guns etc.

We used to be so easily amused and watching these old school movies
certainly put a smile on my face, with the old actors,
Dan Akroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Rick Morisey.

I think kid's nowadays would be absolutely snoring themselves to sleep
with what we watched...there are so many movies i loved growing up namely:

-Home Alone
-Jurassic Park
-Ground Hog Day
-City Slickers (anything with Billy Crystal in it)
-Police Academy
-Big (Tom Hanks)
-Back to the future
-Karate Kid
-Lethal Weapon

-Waynes World and The Goonies

Robocop and Cool runnings ("Ya Dead man?" and John Candy Movies)

Addams Family & Roger Rabbit

GHOSTUSTERS and Edward Scissorhands

BeetleJuice and Honey, I SHRUNK the Kids

Oh the LIST is ENDLESS...insane!!!!!
Okay I've proved my point but, I have great memories of
repetitively watching these movies..i can still watch them over again and again
throughout the years...and I will NEVER tire of them, CLASSICS!
What were your favourite old school movies????
I bet you forgot about some till I mentioned them on the list.
Have a good run through the list and down memory lane.

Britain's Got Talent 2008 WINNER George Sampson

George Sampson deserved this as he mixed old with new
and came up with a very original dance piece!
I can't imagine how he'd be feeling but it will be life changing in every way!
He will perform for Prince Charles and the Queen
at the royal Variety Show held every year.

Summer Bikini Trends 2008!!!

Seems the latest in Bikini fashion for this Summer is Mono-kinis...
Where the top half is connected by a strip down the torso to the bottom wear.
Interesting, but in such hot weather as Singapore,
IF your FUSSY about tan lines, then this may prove somewhat out of point at the beach .

I think if it;s not too hot, and you can chill by the pool in the shade and you want to look in-fashion(I HATE the word FASHIONABLE) and HOOOOootttt...then a definite!!!!

I myself have a problem when i go into a store to 'take a look' at bikini's which usually transcends to meaning 'look and buy'! Hahah, enjoy the pictures!

DFS Galleria Re-Opening and Bali Charity Event-Friday 13th

SO me and the Girls, Alicia Pan , Jojo, and Meishung made it DFS at 9.30pm
for their re-opening of the galleria after a major renovation ,
which was also in conjunction with the Bali Charity Event,
where anything bought in DFS was going to Charity as well as items,
mainly liquor on bid.

Being female we ended up to the 'Sephora' Makeup section
and all of us bought some form of makeup, but it was all in good cause!

It was the familiar faces that you usually see somehow
and the usual red carpet walk through, take a picture up against the backdrop,
sign the board. There was a great selection of drinks and canapes on the rounds.
They have done the place up nicely but in honest truth I don't remember
the last time I stepped in there was. The selection was slightly limited with
all the brands clumped to one section, but tastefully done!

A few photos captured by Alicia in Galleria and by 'Sephora'
which you can ONLY get in DFS or from the States!
