Remember to Smile
I stayed up till 4am to watch the entire ceremony at staples center.
I think the most heartfelt and captivating performance was by Stevie Wonder when he sang,
"Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer."
Real grief was seen and felt when he said it was a moment he wished that he didn't live to see come.
Other Powerful words by Rev Al Sharpton which resonated through out the performance hall:
"There was nothing strange about your daddy. It was strange what your daddy had to deal with, but he dealt with it." (skip to 5:20)
I think he spoke for all of us for what we couldn't put into words!
Rest in Peace.
Remember to Smile.
Smile
tho'your heart is aching,
Smile
Even though it's breaking,
When there are clouds in the sky- You'll get by,
If you Smile through your fear and sorrow,
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through- For you.
Light up your face with gladness,
Hide ev'ry trace of sadness,
Altho' a tear may be ever so near,
That's the time you must keep on trying,
Smile- What's the use of crying,
You'll find that life is still worthwhile,
If you just smile.
