Vietnam Town

DAY 1

So last Wednesday Choy and myself flew off midday to Vietnam. It was a 2 hour flight to Ho Chi Minh City and then 1-Hour to Danang and a half hour ride to Hoi An's Victoria Beach resort and Spa!

Of course, things never go totally according to plan and in between our transits we had an hour to spare. But by the time we handled our Visa and got out of the HCM airport it was 2.30pm, we ran with our luggage in hand across to the Domestic Airport. We were the last to check in and the guy at the counter was pacing up and down slowly taking his time to wayang around and he finally said," No need to check in-no time, no time!"

Me and Choy insisted but he said no need. So we get through, where people in Vietnam have no idea what a queue means, pushing and shoving is quite common! We then get onto bus to take us to the plane and of course we are stopped saying my luggage is to big, and having to explain what the man said.

I ended up leaving my luggage by the stair case into the plane and praying that it makes it to Hoi An, whilst standing in the pouring rain!!!
NIGHTMARE!!!I swear it was the amazing Race....

Anyway,we made it in one piece and got to the resort which was beautiful but cosy.Not too huge that you have to drag yourself to breakfast, the gym, to the pool, everything was within comfortable reach. I spent the rest of the evening
in my room chilling and on the internet with a nice long hot bath for 15 minutes!

Judo chop!!!

I'm not sure if this applies to everyone, but getting off my ass and exercising no matter how lazy I" am, actually makes me feel accomplished and great about myself-a Sense of Achievement!
Yesterday night from 7.30 to 8.30 I headed down to Studio Wu(click here)
with my GF Alicia 'taitai' Pan and hit a Dance class that was called MTV Dance. Each lessons that you go for they teach you choreography with a piece of music. It's a Great cardio work out for people who are lazy to run or swim!

To top it off, while talking to my other GF Jojo online at 1am, she asked if I wanted to go to Yoga class with her at Pure Yoga(Taka) at 9am!
I agreed and went for it.
In my honest opinion I NEVER thought I'd EVER like YOGA because I was always one to favour high impact sports that leave you breathless and sleeping like a baby at night.
I had preconceived ideas that Yoga would be slow and boring, almost Snore-worthy.

I have been christened by my first lesson as Jojo's guest and I love it!!!!
It was INTENSE.
I used every muscle possible, including ones that aren't usually worked out. It's more than just sitting and lying around doings poses and changing pose every 5minutes.
It's about resistance, flexibility, agility, strength, stamina and concentration!!!

The lesson was FIERCE and I'm aching from such simple moves. It was also about learning to listen to your breathing and controlling your breaths.
I walked out feeling fresh, and challenged, the exact opposite of what I thought it would be.
I got to the counter , and yelled out "WHERE do I Sign up?"
I can't wait to start on a permanent basis!
I've been YOGIFIED!!!!!
I have to admit, thank you to my GF's!!!!!

Oh while in the toilet as well, while changing and showering, I saw pictures of some impossible looking bodies twisted but lean, mean and FIT!!!
Wow... I can't wait to look like I was playing Twister!!!
